Errata - Rediscovering Mathematics


The known typos/errors in the hardcover edition of the book appear below.  To report a typo or correction not listed below, please email me (shai at stonehill.edu) with the details.

1. Grammar.  Page xxii: lines 17-18: 
Change

"assumes a reader will be somewhat experienced in reading poetry and/or
are willing..."

to

"assumes a reader will be somewhat experienced in reading poetry and/or
is willing..."

2. Typo.  Page 26,  4e:  
Change   4062  to  4062
3.  Punctuation.  Page 73, 10b 

            Change   "adulthood. What is her adult BMI?"   to   "adulthood, what is her adult BMI?"


4.  Typo.  Page 165, Challenge at the bottom:

             Change   
"Is it possible to build a ball with two hexagons and one pentagon at every node? ... "    to
                              "Is it possible to build a ball with two pentagons and one hexagon at every node?  ...

Formatting.  Page 180, Challenge 10:

            The "s" should be italicized.

6.  Index error.  Page 203.  Levi ben Gershon's Propositions, 48-52, 125-126.
           
            Only 48-52 is correct.  Pages 125-126 have Euclid's Propositions (which should appear separately in the index).
